Commercial Off-the-Shelf Critical Electronic Assembly Selection Checklist v1.2 (2022-0225)

COTS Checklist Excel tool. The Checklist offers guidance and a how-to scoring matrix for the selection of critical electronic COTS assemblies for aerospace, defense, high-performance, and space applications. The guidance leverages Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) EIA-933 (Revision C, Draft in Process) and considers elements of Military Standard (MIL-STD) 11991 Appendix B, Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Parts, Materials, and Processes Mission Assurance Plan (PMAP), Revision C, (MDA-QS-003-PMAP-Rev. C), and other documents (e.g., AFSC Space and Missile Systems Center Standard SMC-S-011). The Checklist is a common workbook, with output capability, facilitating COTS assembly decisions throughout the entire program lifecycle (“the Checklist tool”). Those making procurement decisions, systems engineers, subject matter experts, and subsystem designers are the targets for use.
