| Thanks, Adam. For Jill/Working Group, these are some questions before I provide a collective Army/ODASA (P) response by Friday's meeting:
- Membership vs. audience: are they the same?
- Will the purpose/intent change as challenges/pain points emerge/are solved? Will/should the purpose/intent be narrowly defined or broader in scope? - Is there a limit to the # of members? - How are members vs. non-members tracked? |

| The audience is the target group the community is being established to support. Our intent is to convert the target audience into members by having them join the community. Members can actively contribute to the community. The SharePoint limitation on members per community is 5k we have never come close to that number. Members are tracked as part of the community and are visible to authenticated users. Activity within the community is tracked regardless of the source members or non-members e.g., page visits and sessions, etc. The purpose and intent of the community will likely change over time. The role of the community leader and the working group is to continuously refresh the community and if needed make course corrections.

| Some suggestions on objectives you might want to consider: Promote understanding of Category Management across DoD Raise awareness via resources, policy, current events, news, training and tools to support and gain traction with category management efforts Provide an avenue for the Category Management community to acquire knowledge that will assist them in the performance of their jobs Provide a collaborative venue for obtaining advice and assistance with Category Management Provide a repository for new and emerging issues in the Category Management community and provide guidance on approaches to handling those issues Communicate and share better business practices/lessons learned

| Thanks, Jill, tracking. The collective Army response for consideration is below. Talk to everyone in the morning! Community Name: Category Management Community Membership/Audience: All CM stakeholders (make initial coordination with decision-makers separately)
Estimated size: TBD, depends on if it should start small, then open to the entire CM community
Purpose/Intent: To learn and share innovative examples of how the Army (CM community) utilizes data-driven decisions; this will assist the CM community to eliminate redundancies, increase efficiency, and deliver more value and savings from (the Army’s) acquisition programs by revolutionizing the industrial age of thinking and incorporate the information into training. -- Is this where a brief overview of CM would be inserted?
Objectives: To incorporate best practices and tools into a comprehensive training/collaboration suite in support of Category Management.
