​Hi All,

I saw this story in Breaking Defense today but I found another source to post link to here since it may be more accessible (doesn't require a subscription). Neat stuff to shorten the supply chain, shorten Administrative Delay Time waiting for parts to be ordered/made/delivered to the fleet.

I've been trying but haven't been able to get a list of external approvers to allow access. I've emailed [email protected] for assistance with no results thus far. Specifically looking for external Air Force Approvers for the amps roles.

​Researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have developed a new method of 3D-printing gels and other soft materials. Published in a new paper, it has the potential to create complex structures with nanometer-scale precision. The Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office's (RSO) inaugural Advanced Manufacturing Olympics — AMO for short — will be held virtually this October. AMO will bring together a wide spectrum of participants from military, businesses, and academia to share insights on advanced manufacturing including 3D printing, artificial intelligence, automation and robotics, and more.

Next week, the RSO will be hosting an Ask Me Anything to share exclusive information, and open the floor to any questions regarding the virtual event. If you're looking forward to learning more about the mission and purpose behind AMO, join Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics on Thursday 6/25 at 12:30 pm EST.

​The initial release of the Joint Additive Manufacturing Model Exchange (JAMMEX) is officially live for use and ready for DoD users.  The Exchange is a portal that allows for cross Services viewing and sharing of 3D print technical data.  Please take time to register and distribute this information widely within the DoD.  Access can be requested through DLA Account Management and Provisioning System.  Go to amps.dla.mil to register.  For questions contact [email protected]
