QA Process for Verifying Coating Viability Passed its Shelf-Life
A QA process that included a simple field test could verify the viability of a coating that has passed its shelf-life could greatly reduce costs associated with disposing of HAZMAT materials as well as the number of projects that have to be dead lined due to paint that has expired. It could also prevent coating failures due to inherent problems found in the coating before it is applied. The goal of the project will to be identify physical characteristics that are crucial for a coating to be successfully applied.
