The DMSMS Knowledge Sharing Portal (DKSP) is focused on being a non-biased one-stop provider of DMSMS related information, resources and material to empower the Department of Defense (DoD) community, both Organic and Industrial, to implement best practices for monitoring, tracking, resolving, and performing analytical logistic and engineering analysis related to obsolescence impacts.

DMSMS Achievement Awards

The DMSMS achievement awards recognize individuals and teams from the government who are most responsible for significant achievements in proactive DMSMS management and implementation. The awards are based on achievements in the following areas:

  • Exceptional DMSMS management
  • Significantly improved and quantifiable readiness levels
  • Substantial cost avoidance
  • Exceptional warfighter support related to or realized through mitigation of a DMSMS issue
  • Creation or implementation of a DMSMS best practice that increases supportability and availability of systems to the warfighter.

GIDEP is a cooperative data exchange between government and industry participants for sharing and use of existing engineering and failure data. GIDEP provides a means to exchange a variety of data during the acquisition process and life cycle of systems and equipment that can be utilized to improve reliability and reduce the cost of ownership. The program provides a repository of quality and reliability data, coupled with information on diminishing manufacturing sources and materials shortages, and manufacturer’s product changes.
