THIS COURSE REPLACED CLL 206. The objective of this course is to describe the parts management process and to provide the skills and knowledge to implement a coherent parts management plan. The course will cover the parts management plan; roles and responsibilities; policy and contractual implementation requirements; costs and benefits of a parts management plan; and tools to aid in parts management.

This module provides an overview of the impact of commercial Lead-free mandates and their effect on DoD electronics programs. The module addresses the major Lead-free related directives, DoD-related risks and mitigations, program considerations associated with Lead-free initiatives, and DoD's response to the various mandates and policy directives.

This handbook outlines the Navy process and checklist for conducting an Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA). Section 3.2 describes the DMSMS criteria for assessments. This handbook provides detailed guidance to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of the adequacy of a program’s Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning, management, control, execution and resources. The handbook also provides assessment criteria to be used for ILAs conducted after the Full Rate Production (FRP) decision/Full Deployment Decision (FDD) and throughout sustainment. The methods and checklists in this handbook were designed to implement the requirements of SECNAVINST 5000.2 and SECNAVINST 4105.1, emphasizing the user as the ultimate customer of the acquisition process. This Air Force Materiel Command Instruction (AFMCI) assigns AFMC responsibilities and provides implementing guidance and standards for LCSE and OSS&E and is subordinate to Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) instructions. .
