This Community serves as a collaborative space to provide resources for systems engineering (SE) practitioners. These resources support program planning and design activities as well as implementation of SE processes. In addition this Community offers a variety of ways for the SE to network with other SE practitioners, to access current community contributions and discussions on SE tips and best practices, and to share expert knowledge related to SE.
There are many ways to interact with this community of practice. Click on CONTRIBUTE to share something with the community. This could be a document, a website, or a tool. When you contribute, your content will be available to authenticated users as part of a workforce-contributed library.
Click on EXPLORE TOPICS to view a breakdown of multiple subject areas and topics. Click on BROWSE CONTENT to find specific types of resources, from announcements to case studies to reports. Have a question? Click on CONTRIBUTE or visit the SHARE AN IDEA/ASK A QUESTION page to reach out to other SE practitioners for information.
“Systems engineering (SE) is a methodical and disciplined approach for the specification, design, development, realization, technical management, operations and retirement of a system. SE applies critical thinking to the acquisition of a capability. It is a holistic, integrative discipline, whereby the contributions across engineering disciplines, such as structural engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical designers, software engineers, human factors engineers and reliability engineers, are evaluated and balanced to produce a coherent capability -- the system.”
