This Online Training (OLT) course is the introductory course to the Intellectual Property and Data Rights series. As required per DODI 5010.44, each DoD program will have a robust IP strategy to identify and manage the full spectrum of IP and related matters from the inception of a program and updated throughout entire product life cycle. Foundations of Data provides a foundational understanding of data, technical data and computer software, and introduces an approach to developing an Intellectual Property Strategy.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for this module includes Program Managers, Systems Engineers, Engineers, Contracting Professionals, Logisticians, Product Support Managers, Data Managers, and Intellectual Property (IP) and Contracting Attorneys.
