Application of Operating and Support Cost

This Online Training (OLT) course covers the basic concepts and methodologies needed to develop operating and support (O&S) cost estimates. Emphasis is on the cost estimating techniques that are more commonly used in an O&S estimate, while leveraging those that are widely used across DoD system life cycle cost (LCC) estimates. Students will focus on understanding how system technical characteristics, operating concepts, and support concepts may influence cost estimates across the O&S Cost Estimating Structure (CES). The course includes addressing a range of DoD systems as focused scenarios so that students can create, justify, and document CES specific O&S estimates. Emphasis is placed on the data, analyses, formulas, and calculations as applicable to DoD systems across primarily the O&S phase, but also those considerations for the Demilitarization & Disposal (D&D) phase.
