Indirect Cost Analysis

***This is an online Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course.***

  1. DoD students have priority in this course. Non-DoD students may be placed in registered status if there are seats available or added to waitlist if there are no available seats.

This virtual instructor-led training (VILT) provides an understanding of industry indirect costs and the impact of indirect costs on seller pricing/business strategies under various acquisition environments with differing contract types. Attendees will understand the development and application of indirect rates used in contract formation, administration, and closeout. The course-integrating case study provides hands-on application of the indirect-rate process in which attendees determine their own final indirect cost rates.

This course may be taken as a standalone course. It is also a component in the Advanced Proposal Analysis - Indirect Costs, Profit, and Documentation Credential although we recommend taking the Advanced Proposal Analysis - Direct Costs and Cost Modeling Credential first.

PREDECESSOR COURSES

TARGET AUDIENCE

Contracting officers, buyers, price analysts, auditors, and contract administration personnel assigned to projects in which overhead situations are present. It is also appropriate for those who are involved in either contract formation or administration.

NOTES

  • Participants must provide and be familiar with a basic functions calculator.
  • Proficiency with Excel is desired.
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
