Welcome to the Cloud and DevSecOps Policies online training (OLT) course. This course walks you thru the Federal and DoD Cloud and DevSecOps policies and guidance created since 2010. In 2010, the Federal government came out with the Federal Cloud First Memo; updated in 2017 and then modified in 2019 to the current Federal Cloud Smart Strategy. Then, the DoD Digital Modernization Strategy was built that recommends all DoD programs try to use Cloud to enable faster software development. Then, in 2020, DoD created DoDI 5000.87 that promotes the use of Agile methods in building DoD software. After that, DoD created the DoD SW Modernization that promotes delivering resilient software at the Speed of Relevance (SoR). Finally, DoDI 5000.82 promotes the use of Cloud and Cloud Services, the use of 5000.87, and the use DevSecOps. This course walks you thru the Federal Strategies/DoD Strategies/DoD Policies and how they all work together to provide DoD PMs with the foundation to build software better, faster, cheaper, easier.
