Program-Level Data Strategies

Welcome to Program-Level Data Strategy, an online training (OLT) course. A Data Strategy at the Program Level supports the DoD Data Strategy with respect to the program’s mission within the context of the National Defense Strategy and Digital Modernization by providing the overarching vision, focus areas, guiding principles, essential capabilities, and goals necessary to meet the DoD Enterprise Data Strategy goals. Success cannot be taken for granted. It is the responsibility of all DoD leaders to treat data as a weapon system and manage, secure, and use data for operational effect. Programs must deal with at least three types of data at the Program Level: Programmatic, Operational/Product, and Contractual Data.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Members of the Engineering and Technical Management Functional Area who are engaged in software development.

NOTES

  • Any exams in this course must be passed with a minimum score of 80%.
  • There is no time limit for completing this course.
  • After completing the course, please be sure to complete the survey at the end.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
  • Since this course is less than 30 minutes, no CLPs are assigned. To receive CLP credit, students should bundle the completion of this and similar courses together and apply to their supervisor for CLP approval.
