Foundational Intellectual Property (IP) Credential

Acquisition professionals who work with intellectual property (IP) and Data Rights will gain essential skills for effective acquisition, licensing, and management of IP in accordance with the core principles outlined in DoD Instruction 5010.44, Intellectual Property (IP) Acquisition and Licensing. Through a series of informative and engaging online training courses, you’ll learn the fundamentals of integrating IP and Data Rights planning into acquisition and product support strategies and protecting core DoD interests across the entire life cycle. Delve into topics like IP valuation, Modular Open Systems Approaches (MOSA), IP strategy development, data management planning and proper data markings. Enrolling in this credential will empower you to navigate IP complexities effectively, contributing significantly to programmatic success and enhancing support throughout the system's life cycle.

Estimated time to complete this credential is 20 hours. Earn up to 22 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs). CLPs will be re-assessed after 9 October 2024.
