Cost analysis is used to evaluate the reasonableness of individual cost elements when certified cost or pricing data are required. FAR Table 15-2 provides instructions to offerors preparing a contract pricing proposal when certified cost or pricing data are required. Table 15-2, Part II provides information on how to submit the breakdown for the individual cost elements. This credential will provide information for the contracting professional to use when using cost analysis to evaluate those submittals and focuses on the direct cost elements and cost modeling. After completing all requirements for this credential, we suggest learners enroll in the Advanced Proposal Analysis - Indirect Costs, Profit, and Documentation Credential.
The estimated time to complete this credential is 51 hours. Upon completion, an additional 10% incentive points will be added for a total of 56 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).

- This credential requires the completion of a Virtual Instructor-Led Course (VILT): CON 7140V. Priority for VILT courses goes to members of the Defense Acquisition Workforce. All others may find it difficult to complete this requirement if it has not already been completed at the time of enrollment in the credential.
