Learn the importance of being involved early in the acquisition process. Expand your knowledge of small business legislation, policies, practices, and procedures within the DoD acquisition landscape. Tailored and “strongly encouraged” for small business professionals, but also intended for other members of the acquisition workforce. You will gain valuable insights into small business vision, goals and contributions within the DoD as well as discuss success stories and their impact. You will also learn about business processes, tools, legislation, and socioeconomic programs integral to small business participation in Defense acquisitions. Upon completion of the credential, you will have an in-depth understanding of pertinent legislation, policies, acquisition processes, market research techniques and subcontracting concepts. You will also be able to effectively advise acquisition teams on subcontracting requirements, assess subcontracting plans, evaluate small business participation, ensure subcontract compliance, and guide small businesses on becoming prime contractors and subcontractors within the defense industrial base.
- The estimated time to complete this credential is 76 hours. Upon completion, an additional 10% incentive points will be added for a total of 84 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).
