    Description:

    Data rights refer to the Government's rights to use, modify, release, display and disclose non-commercial technical data and computer software delivered to DoD components by contractors. The process of reviewing data rights markings in contract deliverables can be a complex and time-consuming task, even for the most seasoned data rights experts. 

    At this month's webinar we will discuss how the Airborne Warning and Control System Program Office was able to resolve and correct over 3,000 engineering drawings labeled with improper data rights markings and how with a proper contract vehicle, the cost of the resolution did not fall to the government.

    Please join Mr. Shane Boulware to learn how having the correct data rights markings on engineering drawings can reduce future program sustainment cost.

    Biography: 

    Shane Boulware is the lead Program Manager for the Communications Network Upgrade (CNU) program in the AWACS E-3 Modernization Branch (AFMC/AFLCMC/HBSM) at Hanscom AFB, MA. In his Reservist capacity, he currently holds an Unlimited Warrant with the Air Forces District of Washington (AFDW) at JB Andrews, MD. Prior to this, he was an active duty Contracting Officer from 2012-2020, serving in operational contracting, systems contracting, contracting staff, and contingency operations roles.
