Providing life cycle logistics support to allies and partners enhances program affordability and readiness while enabling the U.S. military's logistics dominance and achievement of Integrated Deterrence, the centerpiece of the 2022 National Defense Strategy. In this session, DAU faculty subject matter experts provide an overview of International Logistics and the unique considerations involved in delivering effective and affordable product support to Allies and Partners.
Who Should Attend:
Product Support Managers, Life Cycle Logisticians, and other members of the acquisition workforce with limited knowledge of foreign military sales and related security cooperation programs.

Moderator, Learning Director, Product Support Integration, Logistics and Sustainment Center, DAUShawn Harrison serves as Learning Director, Product Support Integration, Logistics and Sustainment Center, at the Defense Acquisition University, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He is responsible for development, currency, and relevance of a portfolio of two instructor-led courses, 11 on-line training courses, and four life cycle logistics credentials. In addition to learning asset development, defense acquisition workforce training, and knowledge sharing, he also provides mission assistance to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Components, and Defense Agencies in the areas of logistics and product support policy.

Professor of International AcquisitionMs. South is a Professor of International Acquisition at DAU's Defense Systems Management College. She began her career at the Naval Air Systems Command, where she held several Program Management and Logistics positions within the Foreign Military Sales community. From 2009 to 2023, Ms. South supported the U.S. Pacific Fleet as the Command's Foreign Security Assistance and International Logistics Manager and the U.S. Army Pacific as a Security Cooperation Strategist. Ms. South is a 2020 graduate of the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.

Professor of International Acquisition Management, Defense Acquisition UniversityMr. Petrin serves as a Professor of International Acquisition Management at Defense Systems Management College, DAU, at Fort Belvoir, VA. During his 30+ year government career supporting international acquisition programs he has held various positions including logistics and program management roles at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for F/A-18 Foreign Military Sales, NAVAIR command Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO), and Deputy Division Director for Disclosures at Navy International Programs Office (NIPO). Immediately prior to joining DAU in 2019 he was an FDO and National Disclosure Policy Committee (NPDC) staff member at the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA) within OSD(Policy).
