Laura Hodges, Vice President, Pricing and Purchasing, IHS Markit

Ms. Hodges is responsible for the management and operations of the Pricing and Purchasing Research team. Ms. Hodges has managed several projects on global cost analysis, including projects in Asia and South America, where the objective was to recommend the most cost-effective and efficient action in the procurement of key materials and services.  

Ms. Laura Hodges holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the George Washington University, U.S., and a Master of Arts in Health and Labor Economics from Duke University, U.S. She also earned an MBA from Rutgers University, Beijing, China.

Maxwell Clarke, Senior Market Economist, IHS Markit

Maxwell is a Senior Economist in the Pricing and Purchasing Service at S&P Global. He is responsible for analysis and forecasting of machinery and equipment. Prior to joining IHS Markit, he worked as a US economist at IDEAglobal.

Maxwell received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas State University. He also did graduate studies in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He regularly contributes to S&P Global quarterly reports, client presentations, and manufacturing industry publications.
