    Event Description:

Acquisition Strategy Development details the top-level business and technical management approach for a respective program or system. It is required for all programs and tailored to address program requirements and constraints.  It is also required by law (Title 10 U.S. Code § 4211). Decisions made in the development of a program acquisition strategy will greatly influence it for its entire life cycle.  Subject Matter Expert and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Acquisition Center of Excellence Program Manager Mr. Brian Duddy identifies focus areas for teams developing their strategies – questions they need to answer and decisions they need to make during the early phase of program initiation.

This event will prepare teams to address all the broad areas normally covered by formal acquisition strategies and briefed to Acquisition Strategy Panels.  Approval of a program's acquisition strategy is a requirement to move forward and release a formal Request for Proposal to industry.
