Event Description: Amy Kim, Eddie Garcia, and Nancy Coello of the Made in America Office (MIAO) will provide their perspective of Buy American and nonavailability determination waivers.
Executive Order 14005 required both the creation of the MIAO and federal agencies to submit waivers to the MIAO for certain exceptions to Buy American. The MIAO serves as a central office to consistently review waivers and provide transparency of those waivers in their website; see first link below. The objective of this transparency is to ultimately bolster supply chains when supplies are not available in sufficient quantity and quality.
