Data Analytics - Ms. Kacie Riaz
Statistical Modeling - Mr. Larry Cox
Kacie Riaz is an Operations Research Analyst (ORA) within DCAA’s Technical Audit Services Division. Ms. Riaz has over 15 years of experience with the Defense Contract Audit Agency as an auditor and an ORA. Her focus is on improving processes on audits performed at the DCAA using data and technology. She has developed several Power BI models for common audit procedures which increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our ability to perform audit procedures. Her recent focus is on working to help auditors understand how audit steps are related and best leverage previously performed work. Ms. Riaz graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Master of Business Administration and the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting; she is also a licensed CPA.
Larry Cox is a Statistician within the Quantitative Methods (QM) Branch of DCAA’s Operations Technical Audit Services Division (OTS). OTS provides high level technical support to the FAOs and Headquarters Directorates in three primary areas. Technical Support includes providing assistance with state-of-the-art data analytics techniques and applications, complex quantitative methods (statistical sampling and statistical modeling), and contractor compensation (executive and non-executive) expenses. The Quantitative Methods Branch primarily provides support in the areas of statistical sampling and statistical modeling, such as graphic and regression analysis and improvement curve analysis.
Larry joined DCAA in June 2023, after 10 years at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and a 25-year military career. At DFAS, Larry served as a Statistician and a Supervisory Financial Manager/Division Chief.
Larry earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
