    Lolita Horne

    Lolita Horne co-leads DAU's Innovate to Win initiative which inspires and empowers the workforce to deepen their innovation skills and improve innovation readiness to address global opportunities, vulnerabilities, and threats. Over the last 20 years, Mrs. Horne has worked across industry, nonprofits, and now government where she is a proven Learning Systems Program Manager, dedicated DEI&A Counsel member, and innovation leader driving transformation, modernization, diversity, and excellence within government initiatives.  

    Mrs. Horne is a PMP and holds a master’s in information technology from Johns Hopkins University.

    Dr. DJ Hovermale

    Dr. DJ Hovermale is a widely-recognized expert in cyber exercises and an award-winning instructor. While working for the National Security Agency, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and Science Applications International Corporation he was instrumental in the advancement of capstone-level cyber exercises for United States Cyber Command, the Army National Guard, and the United States Army Reserve. He received his undergraduate degree in linguistics from the University of Kentucky in 2004 and received his Ph.D. in computational linguistics from Ohio State in 2011. He is a graduate of the Joint Advanced Cyber Warfare Course (JACWC) and the Harvey Brightman Master Teacher Program. In addition to teaching courses on cybersecurity and social engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, DJ is the Chief Visionary officer of Erudio Corp.

    Dr. Aaron Jacobson

    Dr. Aaron Jacobson serves as a Professor of Cybersecurity at Defense Acquisition University (DAU) where he leads the advancement of Secure Cyber Resilient Engineer (SCRE) credentials and courses through the use of facilitated discussions, Cyber Training Ranges, and Weapon Systems Model Based System Engineering focused on addressing threats to the DoD ecosystem. He has extensive experience supporting the DoD in System Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, Innovation, and Software engineering.  He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Software Engineering (MSE) and a Cybersecurity Doctorate (DIA).  He has extensive research in the areas of Reverse Engineering, Trojan detection, Adversarial AI, and Secure Blockchain.

    Damen Hofheinz

    Mr. Damen Hofheinz began his present Cyber Security position on the Department of Navy Chief Information Officer Staff in January 2021. Prior to becoming a Department of Navy Civilian in June 2020, Mr. Hofheinz served for more than twenty-six years as an active duty Navy officer.  He is a native of San Antonio, Texas and was commissioned through the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University in May 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Electronics.   Mr. Hofheinz earned a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School Space Systems Engineering curriculum and a master’s degree in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University.
