David Pearson, Director, Engineering and Technology Center, DAU
David Pearson is the Director of the Defense Acquisition University’s Engineering and Technology Center where he is responsible for the university’s technical curriculum. Following graduation from the U. S. Naval Academy, Mr. Pearson spent much of his 21-year naval career at sea as a Surface Warfare Officer. Between sea assignments, he served in acquisition billets including Naval Surface Warfare Center Headquarters, Officer in Charge of Naval Ordnance Lab, White Oak and in PEO SUBS as the Director of Navy Torpedo Testing.
Following his retirement from the Navy, Pearson joined the Defense Acquisition University’s civilian faculty as a Professor of Engineering Management where he teaches in the Production, Quality and Manufacturing, Systems Engineering and Test and Evaluation Curriculums. Pearson earned his Masters Degree in Engineering Management and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and is a graduate of Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
