This web event is a platform for anyone who has an interest in Government contract property and a desire to communicate with subject matter experts. Participants will gain exposure to various Government property resources, to include the DAU Government Property Community of Practice. This is an opportunity for participants to share resources and tools, engage in discussions about policies, regulations, current events, experiences, issues in the workplace, and other topics related to Government property.

This month we will be discussing guidance to help new contractors with developing procedures that clearly identify and address Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment and self-assessment requirements.

Tonya Guy-Green, Learning Director of Industrial & Contract Property Management and Purchasing, DAU

Ms. Tonya Guy-Green joined DAU in 2013. She is the Learning Director of Industrial & Contract Property Management and Purchasing. She is responsible for overseeing life cycle activities of learning assets within the two areas as well as several Contracting assets. She is certified to instruct DAU Industrial Contract Property Management courses. Prior to joining DAU, she served as a Property Administrator (PA) for the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for nine years. While with DCMA, Ms. Guy-Green conducted surveillance of contractor property management systems varying in complexity with property valued up to $2.5 billion.  Prior to Federal civilian service, she worked for Flight Safety Services Corporation and L-3 Communications Link Simulation and Training performing contract property management responsibilities in support of the United States Air Force C-141 Starlifter Program from 2001 through 2004.  She also served in the United States Army as a Materiel Control and Accounting Specialist and a Logistics Specialist from 1989 to 1996.

William Sorensen, Professor, Contract Property Management, DAU

William R. Sorensen joined DAU as a Professor of Contract Property Management in November 2017 and is certified to teach Property, Contracting, Acquisition, and COR classes. His previous position was as a Program Performance Analyst for DCMA at Fort Lee delivering technical advice, assistance and training on a variety of complex property administration functions, with the Contract Maintenance and the Contractor Effectiveness Capability Working Groups. His civilian career included over ten years in various roles at CONUS, OCONUS, and contingency Contract Management Offices.

Mr. Sorensen retired after twenty plus years as a Supply Officer in the United States Navy. Mr. Sorensen is DAWIA Level III certified in Industrial Property Management and Contracting and Level II Lifecycle Logistics. Mr. Sorensen has received the Greater Boston Federal Executive Board 2013 Excellence in Government Award "Administrative Professional of the Year" and two Secretary of Defense Medals for Exceptional Civilian Service.
