    WEBCAST DESCRIPTION:

As a defense acquisition professional do you ever wonder what the relationship is between strategy and culture?  Peter Drucker, a famous management consultant and educator, once said "Culture eats strategy for breakfast!"  Can you describe the culture of your current organization?  Do you want to know more about how you can influence positive change in your organization's culture?  This webcast will explore the role you can play in changing an organization's culture and will help you recognize you can be a positive role model and cultural carrier for the new "ways of doing things around here."

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

If you want to learn more about how you can create a culture that will allow your organization to better meet its strategic goals, this webcast is for you.

    Speaker:

Dr. Stephen Firestone, Professor at DAU:
Dr. Firestone is an intermittent professor for the Defense Systems Management College and the program director for Regent University's M.A. in Organizational Leadership. He is a U.S. Navy veteran with 23 years as a naval aviator, international engagement officer, military planner, and educator.  In his last tour on active duty he served as an online and on-campus instructor at NDU's Joint Forces Staff College.  His current focus is developing leaders that can innovate and lead during challenging times. His book Biblical Principles of Crisis Leadership:  The Role of Spirituality in Organizational Response was published in July 2021.

    The Leading Acquisition Series:
This Series, on the first Wednesday of each month, will help you grow as an acquisition leader.  Building team success; working effectively through others; or spanning team, functional, and organizational boundaries—all will be covered.  DAU's faculty will share the latest thinking on what it means to lead, with practical defense acquisition examples and suggestions on how to apply what you learn at work.  Time in each session will be set aside to answer your questions.
