    Speaker: Dr. Christopher Kent

    Description:  Digital Engineering is an integrated digital approach that uses authoritative sources of systems' data and models as a continuum across disciplines to support lifecycle activities from concept through disposal.  This presentation will cover efforts within the Department of Navy to implement Digital Engineering from the perspective of the DON Chief Engineer's office. This will focus primarily on Digital Systems Engineering Transformation efforts (which are viewed as foundational) but will draw in other efforts across the wider topic Digital Engineering.

    Dr. Christopher Kent will be joining us this month to discuss the Navy's ongoing efforts. The webinar will include a Q&A portion.

    Biography:  Dr. Christopher Kent

    Dr. Christopher Kent is currently the Department of the Navy Deputy Chief Engineer for Systems Engineering and Technical Authority in support of the DON CHENG and DASN(RDT&E). In this role he is the touchstone for Systems Engineering and Technical Authority topics within the office. This includes the responsibility for Digital Systems Engineering Transformation and many aspects of Digital Engineering. Prior to this role held roles at OUSD(R&E) performing Naval S&T oversight and as the Department CHENG and Director of Research for the Naval Architecture and Engineering Department at NSWC Carderock.
