Description:
Army Software Factory is chartered to prototype a future force design in which the Army gains organic expertise in agile software development. Army Software Factory trains and upskills Soldiers in modern software development methodologies and roles, including product management, UX/UI design, software engineering and platform engineering. Once they gain practical proficiency in these skillsets, Soldiers go out and solve some of the Army's toughest problems as balanced product teams. With the motto By Soldiers, For Soldiers, Software Factory's mission is to build an organic competency of Soldiers for the future battlefield.Come join Hannah Hunt as she discusses the creation of the Army Software Factory and how they utilize lean product management, agile software development, DevSecOps, and agile acquisitions to enable Soldiers to build and deliver software capabilities across the force. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

Hannah Hunt (Forbes 30 under 30 Class of 2021 in the Enterprise Technology category) currently serves as the Chief Product & Innovation Officer for the Army Software Factory within Army Futures Command, which has an ultimate objective to teach soldiers and civilians how to solve Army problems with cloud technology and modern software, and to better prepare Soldiers for disconnected warfare on an information-centric battlefield. She is charged with developing and delivering a cohesive suite of products for soldiers and evangelizing agile acquisitions in the Army. Prior to that role, Hannah served as the Chief of Staff at Kessel Run, the Air Force's premiere software factory, with the mission of building and delivering software that warfighters love.. In that role, Hannah managed a cross functional team of business, personnel, manpower, commander support staff, and strategic initiatives experts that enabled Kessel Run to complete its mission. Hannah was the youngest Chief of Staff in the Air Force and strives to emphasize a lean startup and agile work environment for the organization. Hannah is now focused on building the next generation of Army coders to increase readiness and lethality.
