Agile in the A-10C - Making the Best Better

James Doyle is a member of the A-10C Operational Flight Program (OFP) Software Architect Team. He uses his 20-year A-10 pilot flying experience to turn customer requirements into reality. He entered the Air Force in 1997 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He flew the A-10 operationally in the 23rd Fighter Group, Pope AFB, N.C. and as an instructor in the 355th Wing, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz. He also flew A-10 test missions for Air Force Materiel Command while assigned to the 413th Flight Test Group, and he has over 2,500 A-10 flight hours. He has extensive leadership and experience in AFMC flight test operations, depot operations, joint command and control, joint tactical operations, major range test facility bases, base operating support, and aircraft software development. He is also a Colonel in the US Air Force Reserves, where he is the Mobilization Assistant to the Air Force Test Center Commander, Edwards AFB, CA.

David R. Webb is a Staff Operations Research Analyst at KIHOMC, Inc. in Layton, Utah. He is also the Agile Coach for the A-10 Program in the 520th Software Maintenance Squadron of the 309th Software Maintenance Group at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Dave is a project management and process improvement specialist with over thirty-five years of technical, program management, and process improvement experience on Air Force software. He has worked as an Air Force manager, Engineering Process Group member, systems software engineer and test engineer. He has also been certified as a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) Agilist, Scrum Master, and Product Owner, as well as an authorized instructor and coach of the Software Engineering Institute's Personal and Team Software Processes. He is a frequent contributor to technical journals and symposiums, and he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University.
