Series Description:
DCMA has partnered with DAU to engage in outreach with the buying commands and provide information on various DCMA capabilities. DAU will host DCMA the Second Tuesday of each month, from 1300-1500 Eastern, to present a webinar series on Leveraging DCMA Capabilities. During this series, DCMA speakers will present different topics as well as any tools or job aids associated with those topics.

Ms. Sara Smith has been with DCMA for over 15 years and currently serves as a Senior Staff Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist for the Technical Directorate. A significant portion of her responsibilities include the re-write/maintenance of the DCMA Surveillance Manual, a multi-functional, enterprise document that governs and provides guidance to functional specialists across the Agency on DCMA Surveillance Activity. Prior to her current position, Ms. Smith has held several key positions within several DCMA Contract Management Offices CMO globally, to include: (1) Quality Assurance Director (QAD): DCMA Hampton where she oversaw Quality operations for all of North Carolina and Southern Virginia. (2) QA Supervisor: DCMA Pittsburgh where Ms. Smith was responsible for the largest geographic area of responsibility within the Pennsylvania and West Virginia area. (3) Previously assigned quality assurance positions in New Jersey, Milan Italy, Boston and Hartford, CT. Ms. Smith began her career as a Keystone (Intern) employee. She has a background in History Education. Ms. Smith is married to an active-duty United States Marine making her work with the Department of Defense and to the DCMA mission both personal and relevant to the Warfighter.
Mr. Luis Castro is a Senior Operations Research Analyst for the Program Support Division of DCMA. He additionally serves as Co-Lead for the Program Support Working Group. His duties include providing policy, tools and training for the program support workforce. He has served with DCMA for 11 years and a total of 15 years as DoD civilian. He is a retired military officer, having served 24 years in the Army in multiple leadership and staff roles.
