Scott Bauer, Director, The Office of Acquisition Human Capital Initiatives, DAU
Mr. Scott Bauer, HCI Director, is responsible for overseeing the office's initiatives and activities, including the Defense Acquisition Workforce Development Account; Defense Acquisition Workforce Awards Program; Public-Private Talent Exchange; DoD College Acquisition Internship Program; AcqDemo; acquisition workforce governance, strategic planning and policy; workforce legislation; and workforce analytics and metrics.
William “Bill” Kobren, Director, Logistics and Sustainment Center, DAU
William “Bill” Kobren serves as Director, Logistics and Sustainment Center, at the Defense Acquisition University, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He is responsible for development and currency of an integrated portfolio of life cycle logistics and product support learning assets at the University, including 58 training courses, nine Defense Acquisition Credentials, and a host of web-based job support tools, communities of practice and related workflow learning resources. In addition to curricula development, defense acquisition workforce training, and knowledge sharing, he and his team also provide extensive mission assistance to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Components and Defense Agencies in the areas of logistics and product support policy, as well as life cycle logistics workforce human capital development. Bill has authored nearly two dozen published articles, spoken at a myriad of conferences, symposiums and workshops; and with more than 2,800 posts since its 2009 launch, his DAU Logistics Director’s Blog is the most widely read of any Department of Defense acquisition functional community.
Ms. Eileen I. Granfield, Deputy Director, 4th Estate Acquisition Career Management
Ms. Granfield currently serves as the Deputy Director, 4th Estate Acquisition Career Management. In this role she assists in providing centralized programs and resources to equip and mature the career development of more than 28,000 civilian acquisition workforce members within the 4th Estate with the skillsets needed to achieve current and future mission requirements.
Prior to this position, Ms. Granfield served in several roles with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), most recently as the DLA Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) Program Manager and Logistics Functional Community Manager Point of Contact where she assisted leadership in shaping the vision and strategic direction for the LCL and logistics workforce through collaborative efforts across DLA, DOD and with other Federal agencies.
