    Beginning in February 2022, the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) in conjunction with the Defense Acquisition University are hosting a quarterly "NAVSUP Secrets to Success" webcast series intended to inform defense acquisition, technology, and logistics professionals on a variety of timely, engaging and relevant product support and sustainment topics. "

    Description:

    Want to learn about performance-based logistics topics like: incentives, metrics, management and contracting strategies? Learn from an expert in the field.  

    Performance Based Logistics (PBL) is primarily used as a weapon system product support strategy. Outcomes are acquired through performance based arrangements that deliver Warfighter requirements and incentivize product support providers to reduce costs through innovation. When used correctly PBL can increase weapon system availability and reduce ownership costs.

    This presentation assumes no prior knowledge.

    This is the first in a series of webinars hosted by U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support. The series is intended to inform federal acquisition, technology, and logistics professionals with a variety of relevant topics on which NAVSUP WSS personnel can provide expert knowledge.  The series will be held quarterly on the second Tuesday of the month at 11 a.m.

    Paul Klevan Director of the Supply Chain Solutions Division and PBL Center of Excellence at NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) 

    Paul Klevan is the Director of the Supply Chain Solutions Division and PBL Center of Excellence at NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVWSS) in Philadelphia. He has over twenty years' experience in PBL implementation, and 32 years in logistics and operations experience at NAVWSS. In Paul’s past positions, he was the Deputy Director of the Supply Chain Solutions Division and Center of Excellence at NAVWSS, Supplier Relationship Manager with Defense Logistics Agency, PBL Coordinator for the H-60 Helicopter IWST at NAVWSS, PBL Project Manager in the Supply Chain Solutions Office NAVWSS, and a Logistics Management Specialist in the Common Systems Integrated Weapon System Team (IWST) NAVWSS. He successfully led the following PBL teams to award: H-1 Rotors and Drives; H-60 Tip2Tail; Honeywell APU; ALR-67(v)3 Radar Warning System; ALE-50 Missile Decoy System; APS-137 Radar; ARC-210 Radios; ALQ-126B Electronic Counter Measures; ASN-139 Inertial Navigation System; and the AN/AYQ-25(V) F-18 and AV-8B Mission Computer
