This webcast reveals how NAVSUP WSS approaches Strategic Supplier Management, through a collaborative technique focused on long-term relationships with suppliers. This presentation will provide an overview of the teams activities, its focus areas with suppliers, and the new initiatives they are engaging on with suppliers in 2022.
The Presentation will cover some of the basics on how NAVSUP is deploying its strategic supplier management framework, and assumes no prior knowledge.
This is the second in a series of webinars hosted by U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support. The series is intended to inform federal acquisition, technology, and logistics professionals with a variety of relevant topics on which NAVSUP WSS personnel can provide expert knowledge. The series will be held quarterly on the second Tuesday of the month at 11 a.m.
Ms. Beth Ann Moody, Strategic Supplier Management Aviation Site Lead, Navy
Ms. Beth Ann Moody began her career with the Department of Navy in 1999, first taking a role in the Systems Development directorate and then transitioning to Contracting at Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) in Philadelphia PA. As a warranted Contracting Officer she supported Aviation platforms from acquisition of initial spares through sustainment through sundowning of the F-14 and S-3. She was promoted to the role of Acquisition Policy Division Chief where her purview expanded to include Maritime as well as Aviation platforms. In January of 2020, she joined the newly formed Strategic Supplier Management (SSM) team as the Site Lead for Aviation. In this capacity Beth Ann is focused on achieving mutually beneficial relationships between key sources of supply and NAVSUP senior leadership.
