Description:
Did you go to law school and never hear the words "other transaction"? Or are you working in a group that doesn't have expertise in other transactions and want a sanity check on what 10 U.S.C. 4022 means? Are you interested in hearing how the lawyers approach an OT issue? Set aside this hour once a month to spend with the DAU Learning Director for Other Transactions and attorneys from The United States Army Judge Advocate General's School. Plan to listen to information on a timely topic and then have the opportunity to ask a question or weigh in as part of a response.
This Episode of the OT Counsel Corner will feature a 10-minute presentation by LTC Tom S. Hong, Chair and Professor at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, on the topic of Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) issues and OT Agreements (OTAs). FAR Subpart 9.5 does not apply to OTs, so what should the Government do about a potential OCI before or after an OTA is signed? Should OCI terms be included in OTAs? If so, should there be model OCI term for agreements officers to use as a template? Attend this session for some food for thought and share your ideas on this topic and other OT topics of interest to counsel.
