    Description:
     

    Join DIU Acquisition Leadership and the Immersive Commercial Acquisition Program (ICAP) Fellows to discuss DIU's pioneering approach to leveraging commercial solutions openings (CSOs) with other transaction agreements (OTs). They will provide an overview of the DIU CSO process, highlight the benefits of using CSOs, and provide examples of projects that have benefited from the resulting innovation.  In addition, the ICAP Fellows will answer questions about this unique career development opportunity, and DIU will give an update on anticipated due dates for this year's selection process.

    Cherissa Tamayori, Director, Acquisition, DIU
     

    Cherissa Tamayori is the Director of Acquisition and Senior Contracting Official for the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). In this role, she serves as the senior acquisition advisor to the Director of DIU and is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of all phases of the DIU project lifecycle across the six technology portfolios. 
     

     


     

    Roshan M. Jessani, Supervisory Agreements’ Officer, Acquisition Portfolio, DIU
     

    Roshan Jessani is the Supervisory Agreements Officer at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). In this role he is responsible for oversight and execution of contracting activities utilizing Other Transaction Authority.  He is also responsible for coordinating contracting activities between DIU and its support entities to execute projects for a customer base that spans the entire Department of Defense. He joined the team in 2019 as an Agreements' Officer and helped establish the organization's contracting activity.
     

     


     

     

    Ms. Mariluz Chan-Endres, ICAP Fellow, U.S. Navy
     

    Mariluz Chan-Endres is a Contracting Officer and Team Lead for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Port Hueneme. Mariluz began her contracting career via her selection to the Acquisition Internship Program and working for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) in New Orleans, conducting Hurricane Katrina recovery and Base Realignment and Closure construction. She continued her internship at Specialized Contracting and Acquisition NAVFAC (SCAN) in Port Hueneme. 
     

     


     

     

     

    Ms. April Davison, Contracting Officer, U.S. Air Force
     

    April D. Davison is a United State Air Force Veteran and Contracting Officer for the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Contracting Directorate at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma. She is currently serving as the Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Lead in support of the Department of the Air Force’s COVID-19 Taskforce. She leads a multi-agency team and works alongside the Defense Assisted Acquisition Cell (DA2) in direct support of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to support the Industrial Base Expansion (IBX) of American-sourced manufacturers capable of meeting the national demand in a crisis. 
     

     


     

     

     

    MAJ Michael Gerbasi, Contracting Officer, U.S. Army
     

    Prior to joining DIU, Michael served as the Deputy Procurement Chief and Warranted Contracting Officer for the Regional Contracting Center Kuwait, 408th Contracting Support Brigade where he was responsible for the Army’s contracting support throughout Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, and Qatar.
     

     


     

    Maj Shamika Woodruff, Deputy Division Chief, U.S. Air Force
     

     

    Shamika Woodruff is the Deputy Division Chief to the Installation Contracting Division, Air Force Sustainment Center, Contracting Directorate, Hill AFB, Utah. She is responsible for a 102-person team directing a $1.7B acquisition portfolio providing contracting support to the Ogden Air Logistics Center, 75th Air Base Wing, 388th Fighter Wing, 319th Fighter Wing and 52 tenant units. Major Woodruff executes divisional staff operations and synchronizes functional integration of the three contracting branches within the Division.
