This webinar will focus on how self-aware acquisition leaders can leverage self-care practices to reduce stress, address the feeling of being overwhelmed and even start to break the cycle of perfectionism.This presentation will cover the concept of self-awareness and provide a common definition of self-care from the perspective of a professional environment.

The Leading Acquisition Series:
Developed by the DAU Leadership Learning Center, this series, on the first Wednesday of each month (On Tuesday in December, no Webcast in January), will help you grow as an acquisition leader. Building team success; working effectively through others; or spanning team, functional, and organizational boundaries—all will be covered. DAU's faculty will share the latest thinking on what it means to lead, with practical defense acquisition examples and suggestions on how to apply what you learn at work. Time in each session will be set aside to answer your questions.
Speaker:PJ Jackson, Chief Learning Advisor, Office of the President, DAU
Ms. Jackson joined DAU in June 2017 and serves as a chief learning advisory to the Office of the President. Melding an engineer's intellect and an awakened heart, PJ combines a professional background as an Applied Scientist, engineer, and organizational transformation expert to help individuals breakthrough and level up to new heights in personal development.
PJ is a senior advisor to C-Suite executives seeking to transform their life's journey, enhance their performance and transform their organization's culture. She personifies 30 years of corporate transformation and facilitated learning with the ability to see beneath façades and get to the literal heart of the matter.
Earlier in her career, PJ spent 14 years on active duty in the United States Navy and 11 years as a Knowledge Strategist and Senior Program Manager, at Lockheed Martin Corporation, one of the nation's top defense contracting firms. Her list of clients includes an array of major global companies, including the United States Navy, Lockheed Martin, France Energy, AT&T, the World Bank, and the Society for Women Engineers.
