    Description:

On 25 May 2022, the Principal Director, Defense Pricing and Contracting (DPC) issued a memo titled, "Guidance on Inflation and Economic Price Adjustments" to assist the workforce in understanding the impacts of inflation to on existing contracts and consider various approaches to manage risk of inflation to prospective contracts. Subsequently, DAU deployed CON 7470, Inflation and Economic Price Adjustments, an On-line Training Course, which expanded on the guidance provided in the DPC memo. On 23 June 2022, S&P Global (HIS IHS Markit) presented a webinar on Inflation and the Producer Price Index. BUT...

We understand that you still have questions, especially about baseline index selection and how to construct an Economic Pricing Adjustment clause based on cost indices of labor or material that will be equitable to both parties. You asked and we listened! On 23 August 2022, from 1300-1500 EST, we are pleased to host Ms. Janice Muskopf and Ms. Leslie Overturf as they present a webinar on Constructing EPA Clauses, part of our Striking the Balance webinar series.

This course covers the importance of "Striking the Balance" when mitigating
the risk of economic uncertainty between the Government and Industry.   The
course includes topics such as the basics regarding the impact of inflation
on Government and Industry, how to carefully consider contract type amidst
market fluctuation, and creating EPA clauses based on cost indices of labor
or material to share risk in a way that is fair to both the Government and
    Industry to "Strike the Balance"!
