    Description:

    The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Product Support, DASD(PS), has published an updated DoD ILA Guidebook. In this web event, Ms Lisa P. Smith, DASD(PS), provides her perspective on ILAs and Mr Anthony D. Lee II, Director of Product Support Policy, provides an overview of the changes.  In addition, a panel of subject matter experts discuss key aspects of ILAs, including a Q&A session with the audience.

    Ms. Lisa P. Smith, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, OSD

    Ms. Lisa P. Smith, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Product Support and serves as the principal advisor to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) leadership on policies, procedures, and actions related to the readiness and sustainability of major weapon systems. She is responsible for the development and implementation of acquisition and sustainment strategies and processes providing the Warfighter with cost-effective weapon system readiness across the life cycle. In addition, Ms. Smith coordinates and synchronizes ASD(S) international and partner engagements. She also manages the logistics and acquisition workforce for the Department of Defense.  She assumed her current position in April 2021. 



    Mr. Anthony D. Lee II, Director of Product Support Policy and Army systems, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Product Support)

    Mr. Lee is the Director of Policy and serves as advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Product Support). He is responsible for the development and implementation of policy, processes, and guidance that foster efficient and effective product support planning and execution across the Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise. He assumed his current position in July 2021.



    Ms. Lisa Kelly, Senior Acquisition Logistician, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army, Sustainment (DASA(S)).
     
    Ms. Kelly currently serves as the Army's Focal Point Lead for Product Support and Sustainment Reviews within the DASA(S). She provides support to the Army through engagements with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), sister services, and Headquarters Army staff as it relates to statutory and policy expectations within the product support and life cycle logistics arena.
     

     
    Mr. Michael J. Oar, Chief of Logistics and Product Support Planning, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Logistics and Product Support (SAF/AQD)
     
    Michael J. Oar is responsible for the development and oversight of Air Force policies and procedures governing Product Support Managers, statutory depot maintenance requirements, materiel management, performance-based logistics, public-private partnerships and life cycle sustainment planning.


    Mr Michael Kaczmarek, Senior Logistics Manager, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).  

    Mr Kaczmarek is the NAVAIR lead for Independent Logistics Assessments.
