Topic: The domain of Test & Evaluation (T&E) for AI enabled systems (AIES) and its impact on the systems engineering lifecycle is evolving rapidly and there are many emerging perspectives on what the best practices are for T&E. This webinar will provide current recommendations on the benefits of considering AIES T&E as a continuum requiring that we apply key process changes at each stage of the lifecycle from requirements through to sustainment. The DTE&A community is actively researching this challenge and will share their recommendations and how they enable the rapid systems deployment and user adoption for AIES.

Ms. Carol Pomales, MITRE
Carol Pomales has been supporting OUSD, DTE&A (Developmental Test, Evaluation and Assessments) over the past two years to improve current Test and Evaluation (T&E) around AI through prototyping, research, white papers, and technical exchanges. Carol has worked across several Army programs as well as USCYBERCOM. Across these projects she has focused on improving T&E practices to include exploring commercial tools that can enable AI development and test. Carol has 15 years of experience at MITRE and over 15 years prior experience working the Systems Engineer and T&E for network and software systems in commercial industry.
