What is "Identity Management?"
"Identity Management" is the name given to DAU's single sign-on (SSO) solution. It enables access to various DAU applications by using a single set of login credentials. It also provides self-service account management options, as well as Smart Card login capabilities for DoD Common Access Card (CAC) holders.

I was recently issued a new CAC. Do I need to re-register it with my DAU account?
The DoD ID number generally remains the same when being issued a new/replacement CAC, so making any changes with regard to the DAU website should not be required.
I work for a non-DoD federal agency. Is it possible to register a PIV card to my DAU account?
At this time, only DoD-issued Common Access Cards (CACs) are supported for the Smart Card login option. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I have encountered an error message while attempting to login with my DoD-issued CAC. Do I need to re-configure my Internet browser?
Possibly – Step 1 of the tutorial below will walk you through clearing your local caches to ensure the error is not the result of your browser holding onto old session data. If problems continue, please continue with addressing the configurations identified in Steps 2 - 3.
