OPERATING STATUS
FLN, FMS, and NATO students who want to take DAU online courses must have a DoD CAC or a DAUID in order to submit the DAU SAAR. If you meet either of these requirements, you can go to the DAU SAAR to proceed. Otherwise, please see the related FAQs below for additional information.
NOTE: Air Force FLN Employees should not use their CAC to request an account. Please provide your EIN to the DAU Help Desk for a DAUID to be created.
Q: I submitted the DAU SAAR with my DoD CAC and was advised I need to provide an EIN. Can you explain why I have to do this please?
A: After submitting the DAU SAAR with your CAC, the information is sent to ATRRS (Army Training and Requirements System). If the FIN associated to your CAC is not found in ATRRS, the completion records cannot be sent to the DAU Transcript Management System when you complete courses. Therefore, you must establish an EIN in ATRRS so your course completions can be properly recorded.
Q: What is an EIN and an FIN?
EIN - Employee Identification Number (consisting of letters and numbers) used for students in lieu of a Social Security Number. An EIN to complete DAU courses should not be confused with an EIN associated to DCPDS (Defense Civilian Personnel Data System). An EIN to complete DAU courses must exist in ATRRS (Army Training Requirements & Resource System). You may send an email to the ATRRS Help Desk (ahelp@asmr.com) to request an EIN be created for you. FIN - Foreign Identification Number used for students in lieu of a Social Security Number. It is associated to a user's DoD CAC. When submitting the DAU SAAR, if the FIN associated to your CAC is not found in ATRRS, you will be required to establish an EIN.
