Defense Acquisition Credentials

Assessment and Support

Are my skills assessed in order to earn a credential?

Yes. Most Defense acquisition credentials include a capstone assessment or culminating activity as the final requirement.

Can you earn a credential by taking only the final credential assessment?

No. You must complete all the requirements to earn the credential.

How are the credential assessments graded?

Defense credential assessment grading criteria follow the same standards set forth in "Directive 704, DAU Student Academic and Administrative Policies and Procedures Handbook, Part VII Student Assessment and Evaluation".

Should you fail or have difficulty with a capstone assessment or culminating activity, it is recommended that you contact the DAU Help Desk for a referral to a faculty member.
