The Product Support Analytical Tools Database, created in 2012 in response to a recommendation from the seminal November 2009 DoD Weapon System Acquisition Reform: Product Support Assessment (PSA) report, reached a new milestone earlier this week, with its 500,000th page view.

This product support-focused repository currently includes -- and profiles -- more than 430 government and commercial analytical tools for facilitating product support decisions, with an emphasis on DoD system product support. This database include decision support tools and data sources for product support modeling, simulation, management, analysis, assessment, evaluation, and logistics product data management. For each tool, you’ll find a description, the processes the tool or data source supports, the Integrated Product Support Elements the tool or data source supports, military Service(s) that use the tool or data source, and ways to view additional information about each tool or data source. It also identifies whether the tool is available at no cost for US Government use or if a fee may be required to purchase and/or use it.

If you are not familiar with this excellent on-line resource, or if you are conducting research for a tool or a suite of tools, encourage you to check it out. If you are aware of, have used, or are responsible for a tool that is not currently listed, encourage you to bring it to our attention by clicking the “Suggest a New Tool” button. If you are not a member of the Acquisition Community Connection, you can also propose an update or addition by leveraging the “Feedback” tab as well.
