The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Maintenance Policy and Programs has advised that the 2014 DoD Maintenance Symposium has been approved for DoD attendance, and has been scheduled for November 17-20, 2014 in Birmingham, Alabama. The theme for this year’s symposium, the only OSD-sponsored event focused on the maintenance of weapon systems and equipment, is “Delivering Agile and Affordable Maintenance Capability.” Topics include: Future Maintenance Operations, and How We Measure Success, a Senior Logisticians’ Roundtable as an opportunity for attendees to address Senior Logisticians from each Military Service, United States Coast Guard, Joint Staff and the Defense Logistics Agency, as well as breakout sessions on Public-Private Partnering (PPP), Data Dependency, Software Maintenance and Sustainment, and Maintenance Policy and Legislation.
