DAU deployed a new web-based continuous learning module earlier this week focusing on the newest of the 12 interdisciplinary Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements. Entitled CLL 059 Sustaining Engineering, this continuous learning module is intended to broaden the understanding of sustaining engineering and how it can improve system supportability and reduce costs. It also focuses on developing a more granular support strategy in the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) and the linkage between systems/sustaining engineers and life cycle logisticians/product support managers. This new continuous learning module is primarily intended for DoD life cycle logistics and systems/sustaining engineering workforce members, and their industry counterparts. Jointly developed by engineering and logistics subject matter experts, CLL 059 takes approximately two hours to complete and graduates will receive two continuous learning points (CLP).
