Automated System for Assessing the Uniformity of Abrasively Blasted Steel

This program addresses the development of a shipboard inspection tool and method to objectively measure and document the extent of staining and shadowing of abrasively blasted steel surfaces. The objectives are to utilize a fixed lighting system combined with an automated intelligent camera system to quantify the staining and shadowing of abrasively blasted surfaces over a 10 foot by 10 foot area.
