Writer’s Guidelines
Defense Acquisition is a bimonthly magazine published by DAU Press. Defense Acquisition readers are senior military personnel, civilians, defense contractors, and defense industry professionals in program management and the acquisition and sustainment workforce.

How to submit
Please carefully review our Submission Guide as you prepare your article. Articles should be submitted by email to [email protected]. Receipt of your submission will be acknowledged in 5 working days.

Types of articles
Defense Acquisition seeks articles that reflect author experiences in and thoughts about acquisition. Articles should discuss the individual’s experience with problems and solutions in acquisition, contracting, logistics and sustainment, program management, or with emerging trends. The magazine also publishes Q&A type articles or interviews with experts or seasoned professionals that address questions on relevant issues. Authors can also report on new programs or policy changes that may be useful to our readers. The magazine does not print academic papers, fact sheets, technical papers, white papers, or articles with footnotes, endnotes, or references. Articles meeting any of those criteria may be more suitable for our sister publication, Defense Acquisition Research Journal. Defense Acquisition does not reprint from other publications or publish articles that have appeared elsewhere.
