Using Regression to Predict Potential Insider Threats

The U.S. Navy shipboard systems are at risk due to insider threats. This research focuses on common human behavior characteristics to identify insider threats.

An Earned Value Management Approach to Time-Weighted Test Point Program Management

This article proposes the use of time-weighted test points to measure work scope for flight test programs. This metric is combined with earned value and earned schedule management methods to provide test managers performance indicators and completion estimates.

The Phoenix Rises

This article tells the story of the remarkable turnaround of the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III airlifter program in the early 1990s. Despite problems that almost led to the cancellation of the program, the authors, from a list of lessons learned, ultimately attribute timely and open communication and cooperation between the Pentagon, program offices, and the defense contractor for the astonishing turnaround of the program.
