Research Fusion - Harvesting: Identifying, analyzing and organizing research (relevant to acquisition, and training) being conducted across a wide variety of sources internal and external to the Federal Government
Research Fusion - Transition / Integration: Transitioning and integrating “harvested” acquisition research findings to the Defense Acquisition Workforce.
Collaboration: Develop and maintain ongoing research partnerships with key research universities, government research centers, and FFRDC's to create research opportunities for faculty (joint research), and keep DAU positively engaged with the global acquisition research community.
In-House Research: Faculty research in graduate programs; independent research in acquisition and acquisition-related topics.
Acquisition Research Infrastructure: Provide the Department of Defense and the greater acquisition community the needed infrastructure to facilitate meaningful research on an ongoing basis, to include: The Defense Acquisition Research Journal; Conferences and symposiums, both internal and external to DAU; lists of research topics of interest to the acquisition community; and methods and tools for harvesting research findings from many different sources.
