Captain Leonards (Mechanicsville) - THIS IS MANY LOCALS’ FAVORITE SEAFOOD PLACE. They are known for their Cream of Crab
soup, fried oysters, crab cakes, soft shell crabs, and hush puppies.
The Drift Inn (Mechanicsville) - Multiple students report that this is a great “crab house” to go to. It’s on the water, but I have heard that service may leave a little to be desired. Not sure of the hours, so you want to call ahead to (301) 884-3470.
Courtney’s Restaurant & Seafood - If you like Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives on the Food Network, this may be the place for you. This is a
very rustic joint, in Ridge, MD, with great Maryland Crab Soup and Rockfish sandwiches. Be aware, you may be waited on by the cook/
fisherman who may still be wearing the apron he used while cleaning the day’s catch.
The Ruddy Duck Seafood & Ale House - Waterfront seafood dining in Piney Point, MD. They serve the microbrews made at the Ruddy Duck in Solomons.
