The program offers a special tuition rate of $250 per credit hour (for both undergraduate and graduate programs), plus complimentary textbooks and software, and no technology fees. UA Grantham further reduces out-of-pocket expenses through scholarship opportunities and credit for military training, experience and prior college coursework. The Heroes Program also provides a no-cost Prior Learning Assessment for evaluation of potential transfer credit. To qualify for the Heroes Program, you must:
- Meet University of Arkansas Grantham’s minimum admissions requirements
- Meet any specific program admission requirements
- Be one of the following:
- A U.S. active-duty service member, reservist, National Guard member, or other military service member;
- A U.S. honorable, general under honorable, or medically discharged veteran;
- A U.S. emergency first responder, including federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics;
- A U.S. civil servant* at the federal, state, county, or local level;
- A U.S. licensed or certified patient care worker;
- A child (of any age) or spouse of any of the individuals listed above.

* A civil servant or public servant is a person employed in the public sector by a government department or agency. This includes federal, state, county and/or municipal employees. Not everyone working for the government is a civil servant however, generally part-time or contract employees will not qualify.
